As preferred supplier to The FA Group and Wembley Stadium, Service Graphics undertook the complete rebranding of the stadium for The FA Cup with Budweiser. Service Graphics' brief was to provide a complete install of all rebranding within the bowl, players block and exterior sites of Wembley Stadium for The FA Cup Semi Finals and Finals.
The FA Cup Semi Finals took place over 14th and 15th of April with the Final taking place on Saturday 5th May - seeing winners Chelsea FC lift the trophy. Budweiser has been the Official sponsor of the event since 2011 and will remain so until at least 2014.
For The FA Cup Semi Final and Final, Service Graphics produced a quantity of 830 sheets of Correx – all printed using the company’s state of the art Inca Onset S20 direct to substrate printer, housed at its Chessington site. In addition, 5200 sqm of mesh PVC was printed using a RHO 500, as well as various other signage and branding around the stadium sites.
The production challenge included time sensitive deadlines. With a quick turnaround of just two weeks from receipt of artwork to produce and install the new branding, it was essential that Service Graphics had a dedicated team to coordinate the project. All lower level branding was installed by the Service Graphics Wembley team whilst all high level branding (North Fascia banners and Gantry banners) was installed by Service Graphics’ appointed rigging company.
Scott King, sales director of Service Graphics, comments, “We are delighted to be the preferred supplier to The Football Association and Wembley Stadium, the country’s national stadium. We are thrilled that our graphics play a key branding role at internationally recognised events such as The FA Cup Final, demonstrating the quality of our products and services and positioning service Graphics as a ‘best practice’ service provider.”
Charlie Boss, marketing manager at The Football Association adds, “We were very pleased with the work Service Graphics delivered for The FA Cup’s first season with Budweiser. It was imperative that the stadium rebrand was completed to a high specification for such an iconic event in the sporting calendar. Service Graphics delivered a high quality of work and excellent customer service throughout, providing us with a dedicated team to ensure a faultless service and fast turnaround.”
