Smithers Pira, the worldwide authority on the packaging, paper and print industry supply chains, has announced that one of its leading print industry experts will be presenting at The Inkjet Conference in Dusseldorf, 5-6 October 2016.

Sean Smyth, who has spent over 25 years as a consultant in the print industry, will outline the findings of Smithers Pira’s market research data and forecasts on how inkjet is continuing to shape the future of print and printed packaging industries with better quality, productivity and economics, making inkjet – in all its various technical iterations – more competitive. In the wake of a raft of announcements and introductions at drupa showing inkjet is as productive as litho and flexo the adoption of inkjet in commercial and publishing print is continuing to grow. In packaging and labels the potential for major disruption by inkjet is enormous.

Sean will also be chairing the Inkjet in Packaging workshop taking place at the conference on 4th October 2016. The workshop will review the current state of the art technology as well as looking at the potential evolution and adoption of inkjet in packaging.

Conference attendees will also be able to meet Smithers Pira at their table top in the exhibition area of the event.  They will be showcasing a number of their expert market print reports including:
