The event will be held at the Hilton Strathclyde on 10th and 11th March. Roland’s product portfolio at the show will include the recently launched VersaEXPRESS RF-640 printer, the popular VersaCAMM VS-300i print & cut machine and the ‘magic’ VersaUV LEF-20 desktop flatbed printer.

This show will give us a great chance to meet face to face with existing and potential customers north of the border to understand their businesses and advise them on how Roland technology can help them to meet the demands and maximise the commercial opportunities of this ever-changing marketplace.”

Representing its pioneering print & cut technology, the VersaCAMM VS-300i - part of Roland’s VersaCAMM family; the highest selling print & cut series in the world*– will take pride of place on the stand. With three models in the series – 64”, 54" and 30”, a choice of five ink configurations and an integrated print & cut functionality, the VS-300i is a seriously versatile machine.

Drytac Europe to showcase two new films at Sign & Digital UK 2015

drytac logo lfr

Drytac Europe has announced its plans for Sign & Digital UK (Birmingham NEC, 24th to 26th March 2015).  The company will be present on its exclusive UK & Ireland distributor Antalis’s stand (J12) and will be showcasing a number of products including its recently announced Scuff Guard film and the brand new Protac Anti-Graffiti, FloorTac and Spot On films.

Drytac representatives will be on the Antalis stand throughout the show.  Additionally, the company will be announcing a number of promotional offers during the run-up to the event.

New: Protac Anti-Graffiti film

Protac™ Anti-Graffiti is a 20μ (0.8 mil) high gloss polyester film and is ideal for a variety of applications including bus shelters, hoardings and outdoor advertising locations in high traffic areas.  Additionally, with its recently awarded Class 1 Fire Rating, Protac™ Anti-Graffiti is now also perfect for applications in public areas that require compliance with strict fire regulations, such as airports, hotels and hospitals.

Available in a number of different sizes, the film has an ‘anti-graffiti’ coating on the gloss surface, and is coated on the other side with a high coat weight of pressure sensitive, solvent acrylic adhesive protected by a siliconised polyester release liner.

Both the film and the adhesive contain UV stabilisers, which protect against UV degradation and potential mechanical damage. The high coat weight and strength of adhesive makes the Protac™ Anti-Graffiti ideal for laminating over UV inks, as well as solvent, eco-solvent and HP Latex prints.

New: Spot On film

Drytac will be demonstrating its new Spot On film to the UK market at Sign & Digital UK 2015.  Suitable for short term indoor applications, Spot On is a high quality, ink receptive printable vinyl, developed specifically for high vibrant print quality graphics that require easy application.

This 100μ (4 mil) monomeric PVC film is coated on one side with a pattern printed pressure sensitive polyacrylate adhesive.  Spot On is printable by solvent, eco-solvent, HP Latex and UV inkjet techniques; the dot pattern of the adhesive allows the film to be easily applied bubble free on most commercially available panels.

Available in clear matte, white matte and white gloss versions, the adhesive is protected by a single sided, siliconised clay coated Kraft release liner.

Recently announced: Scuff Guard film

Announced in January 2015, Drytac Scuff Guard is a 150µ (6 mil) textured PVC protective over-laminate film with a matte finish offering good scuff resistance for all types of printed graphics.  Applications are numerous but include the over-lamination of short term indoor floor graphics courtesy of Scuff Guard’s R10 anti-slip rating.

Drytac Scuff Guard is also recommended for the protection of indoor graphics applications that are likely to have a high level of surface contact, such as posters, exhibition and POP displays in high traffic areas.  The textured matte finish provides a non-glare finish which is ideal for applications such as trade show graphics when lighting conditions cannot be controlled.

So confident is Drytac of its new Scuff Guard film that – when combined with Drytac FloorTac printable vinyl for floor graphics – the film is warrantied for 6 months when used in high traffic indoor areas.
Steve Broad, Sales Director for Drytac Europe, comments: “We’ll be in attendance on the Antalis stand for the duration of the Sign & Digital UK show.  This gives us a great opportunity to answer any questions about our products and highlight the benefits of our new offerings to the signage market.”

On working with Antalis, Steve concludes: “It's been nearly two years since we appointed Antalis as our exclusive UK & Ireland distribution partner and they have been doing a great job distributing Drytac materials across the region.  We are looking forward to supporting the Antalis team at this ever-popular UK industry event.”
