Antalis, Europe’s leading distributor of paper, packaging and visual communications solutions, has launched the full range of premium Oracal 970GRA cast wrap films to enable customers to tap into the growing trend in vehicle wrapping.
There will now be an impressive 96 colours available in the range that come with gloss, matt (including a super matt black option) or metallic finishes, plus a premium shift effect cast that uses cutting edge technology to produce a multi-colour shimmer effect.
A multi-layered, high performance cast PVC film (100 micron) from Orafol, Oracal 970GRA has been specially developed for complete product wrapping, particularly on vehicles. Engineered to the highest technological standards with a built-in protective clear coat layer, it’s highly durable - lasting up 12 years depending on type - and delivers outstanding dimensional stability and gloss retention with no over-laminate required.
Suitable for uneven and corrugated surfaces as well as rivets and corrugations, RapidAir Technology enables quick and easy application and the avoidance of air bubbles. A transparent solvent-based, repositionable, permanent adhesive means that, with heat, the PVC cast can be removed with little or no adhesive residue.
Chris Green, channel head for Visual Communications at Antalis, comments: “As the trend for vehicle wrapping in both the commercial and private sectors grows, we have extended our range of premium Oracal® 970GRA products to include the full 96 colour and finish options.
“Once the domain of vehicle wrapping specialists, advances in product technology and application techniques have allowed mainstream signmakers to diversify and enter the marketplace. To support our customers looking to upskill into the discipline, the Antalis Academy offers both an introductory and complete workshop course on vehicle wrapping and vinyl application using the Oracal 970GRA range of products.”
With the February workshop now sold out, the next available course on vehicle wrapping takes place on 23rd March 2018.
