Alongside an array of bikes from the PR Racing British Superbike Team, including the 2016 BMW BSB and ex-work Ducatti Moto GP, and super cars including Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and Maserati, APM provided wrapping and detailing demonstrations.
Many of the vehicles on show were wrapped by APM using 3M materials, including all the bikes for the PR British Superbike Team, one of two teams sponsored by APM, which also wraps all their cars and support vehicles.
Vehicle wrapping specialist APM Customs was set up six years ago with the motorsport sector in mind and has since diversified into commercial and private vehicles, offering full and part wraps, detailing and paint protection film (PPF).
The company is a firm advocate of 3M vehicle wrapping materials and is a 3M Authorised Vehicle Wrapper.
“We find 3M one of the better ranges of materials on the market; they are easy to apply and just do what it says on the tin,” says MD Kevin Gelsinan. “It’s a respected brand and being an Authorised Vehicle Wrapper, together with the back-up and service from both 3M and William Smith (our supplier) enables us to provide reassurance to our customers.”
One of the more unusual projects undertaken by APM Customs was the wrapping of a restored classic Alfa Romeo Touring car, which required the meticulous recreation of all the artwork to the original style.
“It was a painstaking process, which was achieved through working from photographs in old magazines,” explains Kevin.
Speaking of the company’s relationship with William Smith, Kevin Gelsinan comments: “I have a great deal of respect for William Smith. Everyone has good technical knowledge and we know that they will always find an answer to any queries we have. Customer service is excellent and we like the way that order processing has been set up. In addition, we have developed a close relationship with our technical rep, who has become a good friend and shows a genuine interest in our company.”
