Entrants will be able to upload their artwork to the Print My Ride website (www.okiprintmyride.com) and apply it to a virtual car – rotating a 3D view to experience it from all angles before submitting online showroom photos to be judged by an expert panel.
Lucky winners from three categories – ‘Most creative’, ‘Design that best utilises the OKI printer’s capabilities’, ‘Judge’s favourite’ and a ‘Wild Card’ entry will receive prizes for their contributions, ranging from a model car wrapped in their design to an all-expenses-paid trip to a 2017 Formula One Grand Prix event.
Jason Price, Creative Designer for vehicle-graphics specialist Jellyfish Design, says: “I think this will certainly go a down really well, I’m very impressed with the work so far and can’t wait to get started”.
Alongside the competition, OKI will be supplying a brand new livery for Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver Mat Jackson’s car, printed on the new OKI Colour Painter wide-format printer. The company is also sponsoring Motorbase Performance, forming a pertinent partnership considering the vital role wide-format printing plays in car wrapping.
Motorbase Performance Team Principal David Bartrum says: “It’s fantastic to have OKI come on board with the team at this point in our campaign. To have that kind of radical change to Mat’s Ford Focus with such a vibrant and unique design for the last two crucial rounds of the season at Silverstone and Brands Hatch tops things off nicely.
