Innovative wide-format media and hardware supplier reveals revolutionary new personalised roller-blind fabric at Sign & Digital 2017

If you’re looking for something new and a little different at this year’s Sign & Digital UK look no further than Papergraphics at stand D32. Supplying the UK’s most innovative wide-format media for digital print, the company will debut its exciting Décortex personalised roller-blinds – a first-of-its-kind product – as well as unveiling its brand-new mobile demonstration vehicle.

21st century window decoration

Décortex is manufactured exclusively for Papergraphics and designed for those looking to capitalise on the growing demand for personalised interiors. Complementing its Digimura wallcoverings, the range of highly specified roller-blind fabrics enable businesses to produce blinds with bespoke designs, images or branding using latex, UV or eco-solvent ink wide-format printers.

John Selby, CEO of Papergraphics, commented: “We have spent time researching the roller-blind market and understanding the demand for personalised products in the commercial and home sectors.

“The opportunities are vast – offices, hotels and restaurants – you can picture so many scenarios where personalised or branded roller-blinds could work. It is the perfect partner for those offering Digimura products and we truly believe we have created a product that will be the next big thing in digital interiors.”

To deliver exceptional image quality, Papergraphics has partnered with a textile weaver to ensure the roller-blinds achieve the highest standards required by designers and specifiers. The fabric is available in two options: Décortex 1.1 – a one-sided option – or the blackout Décortex 2.2, which can be printed on both sides.

Décortex also features a unique bi-directional weave that help the blinds stay flat regardless of print direction and is BS5867 Part 2 (curtains, drapes and window blinds) fire-rated for commercial use and public spaces, even when printed – no other digitally-printed roller-blind meets this safety standard.

The product will be available from 3 April 2017 and during Sign & Digital UK Papergraphics will deliver live demonstrations of Décortex roller-blinds at the HP stand.

Papergraphics on tour

Alongside its new roller-blinds, Papergraphics will unveil the latest addition to its family – a new mobile demonstration vehicle that will begin continuously touring the country following Sign & Digital UK.

Forming the company’s stand at the show, the bespoke vehicle has been manufactured specifically for Papergraphics. It can be kitted out with a range of wide-format hardware and media, and at Sign & Digital UK visitors will see an HP Latex 570 and CWT application table.

The high-spec vehicle complements a huge office refurbishment project that will put Papergraphics in a unique position to provide application demonstrations across the country. Once complete, the company’s Crawley headquarters will feature an entire floor dedicated to showcasing the capabilities of wide-format print solutions, including the extraordinary MassivIT 3D printer.

John Selby added: “We have toyed with the idea of purchasing a vehicle to demonstrate our range of services for some years and I’m delighted it has become reality. In a few months’ time, we will have the best applications centre in the UK, while the touring van will allow us to take Papergraphics to our customers to show our expertise and bring to life the opportunities of digital interiors, latex printing and much more.”
