Digidelta, a specialist manufacturer of digital printing, decoration, visual communication and textile materials, has marked 40 years of innovation in 2026 by reinforcing its role as a trusted industrial partner to sign and display print providers and their corporate and global retail clients, worldwide.
Headquartered in Portugal and exporting to more than 60 countries, the company supports customers with high-performance materials designed for large-scale retail graphics, interior décor and visual communication programmes.
Media production capacity now exceeds 75 million square metres annually, with Digidelta combining industrial-scale manufacturing with in-house R&D and quality control. The end result? Digidelta’s customers can rely on the company to deliver innovative materials which combine consistent performance, dependable supply – and all at a cost-effective price point.
Built on quality, shaped by market evolution
Since its foundation in 1986, Digidelta’s emphasis has been on providing its customers with high-quality solutions to drive growth within their own businesses. Initially, the focus was digital imaging, printing and visual communication systems. However, as demand changed over the years, Digidelta evolved alongside the market, adapting its product offering.

Rui Leitao, Chairman of Digidelta, celebrates 40 years of innovation.
A key turning point came in the early 2000s when Digidelta became the official distributor of Mimaki for the Portuguese market, opening the door to a new chapter in the company’s history by extending its reach beyond hardware supply.
One of the most important developments came in 2009 when Digidelta launched its own brand of media in the form of Decal. In response to customer demand, Decal was designed as a printable adhesive film that was easier to apply, more reliable in print, and more commercially efficient than existing materials available in the market.
From Decal momentum to manufacturing strength
What started as a relatively small venture for the company quickly gained traction across Europe, with Decal fast becoming one of the stand-out success stories from Digidelta – to the point where it remains one of the most sought-after brands from the company, some 17 years after its launch.
Having recognised the demand for this type of high-quality film among the wider print community, Digidelta took another major step forward in 2010, building its own industrial and logistics hub in Torres Novas, Portugal. Initially, the facility housed a specialist coating and converting unit, R&D lab, distribution centre, and training showroom, enabling Digidelta to control quality, innovate faster, and serve international markets directly.
Taking production in-house proved to be a highly successful decision for the company as it led to the launch of several other innovative materials. Among the most recent launches is BIOND, a next-generation material which was unveiled at the 2025 FESPA Global Print Expo to much acclaim.
Designed with an environmental focus at the fore, BIOND has been crafted from bio-based products but behaves and performs in the same way as PVC vinyl films. Users do not have to compromise on quality to offer customers a more sustainable service. BIOND brings together innovative design, environmental responsibility and industrial performance – all in a single product.
However, as a company that never rests on its laurels, Digidelta is constantly on the lookout for the next opportunity, be it releasing another new product to the market or expanding its reach into more regions around the world.
And Digidelta has big plans in place to support this growth. A new 15,000 sq. m. factory in Torres Novas is currently under development and will be built this year to support the development of new solutions. With the completion of this expansion, the facility will house four coating lines, 1,300 racks and five specialist slitters. This will enable the production of 75 million square metres of materials per annum, in addition to jumbo conversion capacity of 100 million square metres per year and 75 million square metres in annual automated packaging.
From manufacturing strength to global growth
With Digidelta’s manufacturing strengths shining brighter than ever, the other focus for Digidelta has been to spread the word of its leading solutions. The FESPA 2025 BIOND launch drew plenty of attention at international level, while its appearance at Printing UNITED and smaller, regional events has further increased the appeal of both the company and its brands in new markets.
From its manufacturing base in Torres Novas to retail, signage, décor and branding environments around the world, Digidelta continues to evolve from a Portuguese success story into a global materials partner for international brands and retailers.
With ongoing investment in production capacity, sustainable materials development and customer collaboration, Digidelta is strengthening its position as a long-term supplier for corporates seeking reliable, scalable and future-ready solutions for visual communication, décor and branding applications worldwide.
