Printlux has completed a major investment that delivers a fully integrated print, cut and finish workflow at its Shropshire site.

A Shropshire print business that began by creating bespoke signage has announced a significant new investment that marks the next stage of its growth journey.

Bridgnorth-based Printlux has completed a major investment in advanced finishing technology, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), further strengthening its position as an innovative and ambitious manufacturing business serving customers across the UK.

The investment sees the installation of a new Easymount Hybrid system from Vivid Laminating Technologies, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of print finishing equipment.

More than simply adding another machine to the production floor, the investment completes Printlux’s fully integrated Print, Cut & Finish workflow, enabling the company to manufacture an even wider range of products entirely in-house from its Shropshire headquarters.

The new technology supports the continued expansion of services including Vehicle Branding, Commercial Signage, Exhibition Graphics, Retail Displays, Labels & Stickers, Protective Laminates and Trade Finishing Services.

For customers, the benefits are immediate: faster lead times, greater quality control, increased production capacity and more services available under one roof.

Suzanne Cartwright, Creative Director at Printlux, said: “Every investment we make is driven by one question: how can we create a better experience for our customers? This project isn’t just about adding a machine. It’s about completing a manufacturing workflow we’ve been building towards for years.

Thanks to support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the expertise of Vivid Laminating Technologies, we can now Print, Cut and Finish entirely in-house. That gives us more control, more flexibility and more opportunities to help our customers bring ambitious ideas to life. We’re incredibly proud to be investing in manufacturing, innovation and skills right here in Shropshire.”

The investment represents another milestone in the evolution of Printlux, which has grown from a specialist signage business into a modern manufacturing company producing thousands of products each year for businesses, retailers, schools, venues, events and organisations throughout the UK.

Supported through UKSPF, the project highlights the positive impact that strategic investment can have on local businesses, helping them innovate, expand and compete on a larger scale while continuing to manufacture locally.

The Easymount Hybrid supplied by Vivid Laminating Technologies combines traditional roll-fed lamination with flatbed mounting capabilities, providing the flexibility needed to support a growing range of commercial print applications.

As Printlux continues to grow, the focus remains the same: investing in technology, supporting local manufacturing and delivering exceptional products for customers nationwide.

The final piece of the puzzle has arrived.
