William Smith Group 1832 is hosting the Arlon Elite Days at its Barnard Castle facility on 15 and 16 July 2026, bringing together certified Arlon installers and the wider sign and graphics trade for two days of practical product sessions, live demonstrations, and business development content. Both days are open for booking now via the William Smith website and Eventbrite.
The two days share a broadly similar structure but serve different audiences. Day 1, The Elite Experience, is reserved for members of the Arlon Elite Installer Network and focuses on developing and rewarding existing certified professionals. Day 2, the Arlon Discovery Day, opens to non-certified installers, existing Arlon customers and new prospects, with a stronger emphasis on the full product range and the pathway to Elite Network membership.
Building technical and business expertise
The Elite Experience on 15 July opens with a seminar on the Arlon Colour and Clear Protection Film range, led by Shane Liebenberg, including a preview of new Paint Correction Film colours and an introduction to the CutPilot software. A hands-on session supported by the William Smith training team follows, working across Ultra and Shield Clear, Carbon and a selection of colour films. The afternoon includes a competitive programme and a seminar on marketing your business and building brand visibility.
Certified attendees leave with a range of giveaways on the day, including product literature, swatches, samples and accessories, along with some attractive offers on material.
“Events like these are where the relationship between a supplier and its customers becomes something more useful than a product catalogue. We’re giving installers time and space to actually work with the materials, ask real questions and leave with skills they can put to work the following Monday,” says Lindsay Hutchinson, Head of Marketing at William Smith Group 1832.
From product discovery to Elite membership
The Arlon Discovery Day on 16 July covers the full Arlon portfolio across wrap films, PPF and print media, with practical sessions on the FLITE Technology range including SLX, SLX+ and PCC, and a separate afternoon block on Colour and Clear Protection Film with live CutPilot demos. The programme also sets out the Arlon Elite Installer Network in full, including certification routes, marketing support and the business benefits that come with membership.
Everyone on the day goes home with product literature, swatches, samples and accessories, plus some worthwhile offers on material to explore afterwards.
Both days take place at William Smith Group 1832, Barnard Castle, County Durham. Places are limited.
”Arlon has a strong reputation in this market and our customers respond to hands-on experience far more than a product sheet. Whether someone is already part of the Elite Network or exploring it for the first time, these two days give them the chance to see exactly what working with Arlon looks like in practice. That is the conversation we want to be having,” Lindsay concludes.
