Swiss large format printer manufacturer swissQprint has opened newly-built premises for its US operation in West Dundee, near Chicago. The opening coincides with the subsidiary company swissQprint America celebrating its tenth anniversary and hence a decade of direct market presence in North America. The expansion strengthens the company’s presence in one of its most important markets and establishes capacity for further growth.
swissQprint has opened newly-built premises for its US subsidiary in West Dundee, Illinois. The company is investing in its continued expansion across the US and Canada, with this location creating the conditions necessary for providing even better support to a growing customer base and for long-term development of swissQprint’s market position.
On 23 and 24 June 2026, swissQprint celebrated both the premises opening and its subsidiary’s tenth anniversary. Visitors to the Open House event toured the new building, saw the latest flatbed and roll to roll printing systems in action, and discussed new business opportunities in large format printing.
New facility reinforces long-term commitment
For swissQprint, investing in its own premises means far more than simply moving to a new location; it underlines the company’s long-term commitment to this important marketplace. “We firmly believe in the potential of the North American market,” says CEO Kilian Hintermann.
Over the past ten years, the US subsidiary has grown into a key pillar of the group. With the new building, swissQprint is laying foundations to provide US and Canadian customers with yet stronger support and to continue its growth in this strategically significant region.
More capacity for service, training and logistics
The new building covers an area of around 2,300 square metres, thus more than doubling the space of the previous premises. Its centrepiece is a spacious showroom where prospective customers can experience the latest swissQprint printing systems in a practical setting. The new technical competence centre will be used for training courses, servicing and maintenance work. Expanded warehouse capacity is on tap to ensure a reliable supply of consumables and spare parts, now and into the future.
Swiss quality delivered with local service
swissQprint operates at seven locations employing around 220 staff, with 22 of them based in the USA. Company headquarters and production facilities have always been located in Switzerland. Six international subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan and the USA operate as sales and service organisations. They complement the global network of partners, which provides local support around the world.
