Digiprint Supplies, the on-line, one-stop shop offering spare parts, accessories, software and tools for all eco-solvent, solvent and UV digital wide-format printers, is now distributing Purex fume extraction systems.

Fume extraction is a vital part of any wide-format digital printing operation. Local and international health and safety legislation (such as COSHH, NIOSHH, OSHA etc) clearly states that it is an employer’s responsibility to protect the health, welfare and safety of its employees. Failure to do so can result in expensive legal action, potential fines and poor employee relations.

The Purex Captivair Max system – designed in conjunction with printer manufacturers – is specifically targeted for all wide-format printing applications and compatible with a range of solvent, eco-solvent and UV printers.
It utilises Activated Carbon Filters, which incorporate a layer of high efficiency, chemical absorbent to capture and lock in hazardous gas from the contaminated process.

The Captivair includes hoods, hoses and manifolds to capture fumes from the printer’s enclosure at several key points. The contaminated air is then drawn through a special filter where the contaminants are captured allowing filtered air to be returned to the workplace. The system also constantly monitors the carbon filters to warn users when they are nearly saturated.

Simple to install, quiet in operation and easy to relocate, the Purex Captivair Max system keeps the workplace clean and safe.

Anaïs Fontana, spokesperson for Digiprint Supplies, comments, ”We have over 16,000 products in stock and we are constantly adding to them, providing our customers with the best solutions at the most affordable prices. We are delighted to become a distributor for Purex.”

Jon Young, Sales and Marketing Manager for Purex adds, “We are very pleased to be working with Digiprint and look forward to working closely with them to offer fume extraction solutions to wide format printer users.”
