FASTSIGNS UK, a leading signage specialist, will expand into Bristol this autumn with the opening of its first centre in the area.

Opening in November 2025, FASTSIGNS Bristol will join a growing network of signage specialists across the country, stretching from York to Portsmouth.

Now spanning 23 different locations, it provides custom signs, graphics and visual marketing solutions to a range of industries.

The new business, located on Crofts End Road, will be run by 24-year-old Alex Horseman and his partner, Caitlin Mosler, alongside a production expert and lead designer.

Known for its green credentials, with over 400 parks and green spaces across the city, Alex and his team aim to be as sustainable as possible – starting with the business’ premises. The two-storey, 2,500sqft building in Dragon Court, East Bristol, is fitted with solar panels and an EV charging point, giving the team both sustainable power for production and installations.

A former student of University of Bristol, and graduate in Classical and Ancient Studies, Alex will take on the role of director, bringing with him an interest in business, art and history, and a talent for oil and watercolour painting.

Bristol has so much to offer FASTSIGNS

Choosing Bristol for this new venture, Alex, said: “Bristol has so much to offer a new business; a wealth of talent from nearby universities, a strong focus on innovation and transport links for the South West. What more could you want as a business owner? There’s really no surprise that Bristol was ranked the second best UK city to start a business in this year.”

As well as serving businesses within the Bristol area, Alex and his team will be operating across Bath, Cardiff and the South West, with education – a key offering in the city – an important avenue in their business plan.

Entrepreneurial spirit is common within Alex’s family, thanks to dad, Chris Horseman, who was once the Vice President of Game Development at United States-based video game company, Atari, in the 1980s.

Now retired, the successful business owner is helping his son get the business off the ground by gathering leads to ensure they can hit the ground running when they open in early November. The duo have expressed interest in working with growing businesses, and outlined a long-term plan to utilise FASTSIGNS’ dedicated e-commerce solution for customers, which makes placing orders for signage solutions seamless.

FASTSIGNS Bristol already reaching out to local business

Alex, said: “I’m so excited to be a part of this growing team of signage specialists at FASTSIGNS UK. As someone who takes both a keen interest in business development and art, it’s a rewarding first venture for me to combine creativity with commercial thinking. Bristol really does feel like the perfect place to do that, too, as a city that celebrates innovation, sustainability and design. We’re in tune with that very same ethos.

“We’re already busy making introductions to local businesses, and we can’t wait to bring their ideas to life when we open next month. Do get in touch with us if we can help your business make its mark.”

A landmark year at FASTSIGNS UK

John Davies, managing director at FASTSIGNS UK, said: “It’s been a landmark year at FASTSIGNS UK, so far. Earlier this year, we marked our 30th anniversary as a brand – a milestone also reached by a number of our other centres across the country, including Leeds and Crawley. While it’s been fantastic to celebrate those who’ve been with us since the very start, it’s equally as exciting to welcome new talent into the network – with Alex, Cat and their team in Bristol being a huge part of that growth.

“Bristol is a vibrant, forward-thinking location, with a strong commercial and education community at its heart, and we’re confident that this new centre will thrive by helping local organisations communicate their messages with real impact.”
