Second gong for CS Labels' innovative digital peel and reveal label

CS Labels are celebrating yet another award for their innovative work in digital print.

The peel and reveal label printed for Leeds based independent brewer Northern Monk was commissioned as part of a collaborative project that links art, athleticism and creativity. It contains Rwanda Gashonga coffee from locally based North Star Roast, and thought-provoking photography from Tom Joy, also locally based near the brewers HQ.

CS Labels were given poetic license on the labels’ structure and design layout. The lead photography piece on the outside is complimented by attractively designed and printed information about the project that is revealed once the label is peeled back. The addition of the double sided silver is a unique solution developed by CS Labels.

The judges deemed the label as a winner due to its “Beautiful imagery and printing on difficult substrates combined with the innovative use of a peel and reveal label.”

Northern Monk Brew Co Director, Russell Bisset said :

“Working with CS labels has been great, we look at them as a partner more than a supplier. Their collaborative approach and suggestions on the best way for us to realise our vision of our products has led to us winning numerous awards together. We’re always interested in working with them and looking at innovative uses of the latest technology and advancements they’re investing in.”

The campaign and striking design is creating a stir on social media, and the label has also just featured in the Innovation Showcase at the popular Digital Print for Brand Success Conference. It has also recently won the award for best ’Digital Labels and Packaging’ at the recent Flexotech Awards.
