Outstanding service by companies across Britain will be recognised once again by the British Association for Print and Communications (BAPC).

The BAPC Awards will be sponsored by print finishing pioneer Duplo and will culminate in a special luncheon in London early next year.

Free to enter, an independent panel will judge the entries that recognise outstanding achievement within the print and communication industry. All nominees will receive the artwork for a certificate so they can demonstrate to their customers that they were in the frame for an accolade.

The awards resonate with the BAPC’s aim to cultivate a ‘community of spirit’ that acts as a forum for the graphic arts industry to work together for mutual benefit. The three categories in the awards are:
•    Business of the Year
•    Environmental Printer of the Year
•    Supplier of the Year

Entries must be emailed to info@bapc.co.uk, providing contact details of either the person making the nomination or from the company being entered. The BAPC will do the rest.

Sidney Bobb, BAPC Chairman, said: “As an association run by printers for printers that shares a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience, we regularly meet companies that make a truly positive difference in the print and communications industry. Now it’s their chance to show outstanding achievements – we really do want to hear about them.”

He added: “The awards will happen thanks to the generous support from Duplo, which has an enviable industry reputation and won last year. We’re most grateful for the support. The finalists will be chosen once the votes have been cast by our independent experts.”

Peter Jolly, Duplo UK Managing Director, said: “As a company with an enviable reputation for supporting education and wider printing initiatives, we’re proud to be sponsoring these awards. We were delighted to win one of the main awards last year and are constantly looking at new ways of demonstrating our unstinting support to wider initiatives, as well as our ability to listen, adapt and deliver on what we promise to our growing customer base.”

At the last awards, Duplo took Supplier of the Year while Brilliant Media won Business of the Year and Formara took Environmental Printer of the Year.
