Colourgen will be at Sign and Digital UK in 2016 for the 16th year running, presenting a brand new range of Mutoh large format sign and display printers and a new garment printer. Also on display will be Mutoh’s desktop gadget flatbed printer, laminators from Kala, plus a broad range of media products and Caldera RIPs.
New at the show are the Mutoh ValueJet 1638X (64″) and ValueJet 1624X (64″). The two new printers incorporate high performance micro piezo head technology. The ValueJet 1638X has two print heads mounted in a staggered configuration, whereas the VJ-1624X has a single print head. Both printers incorporate Mutoh’s new DropMaster technology for precise media handling.
Also new is the Mutoh VJ-405GT, Mutoh’s first ever direct-to-garment printer. The VJ-405GT has CMYK + White with a dedicated ink circulation system for the white. This desktop printer has been specifically developed for direct printing on t-shirts, caps, canvas bags, shoes and more.
Key products also on show include the Mutoh 426UF, an A3+ LED UV printer designed for printing personalised products, labels and gadgets. Since its launch at Sign and Digital last year, the printer has been installed in many locations, delivering a broad range of applications, from labels and gifts to trophies and even condom wrappers!
Colourgen will also be showing the Mutoh print/cut solution, the ValueCut 600 cutter with the 24″ wide ValueJet 628 . Finishing applications will be shown on the Kala Arkane 1650 laminator. All printers will be supported by Caldera VisualRIP+.
Jeff Biggs, Managing Director of Colourgen, comments: “Colourgen will be focusing very heavily on the excellent range of Mutoh printers, particularly those models that are brand new to the UK market. Also we are actively encouraging signmakers to see the capabilities of those printers that are ostensibly outside of their core business – such as the ValueJets 426UF and 405GT – that could open doors to new applications, incremental revenues and increased profitability.”
Colourgen will be present on stand E40 throughout the event (19th to 21st April 2016, NEC Birmingham).
