Enfocus, together with its partners Digitech and Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, will demonstrate the enchantment behind its Mini-Me automation process at this year’s PRINTING United. Designed to save hours of time, the Mini-Me giveaways are produced and printed in no-time.
Taking place at Booth 2004, the immersive Chamber of Automation will take each visitor on a journey of magic and discovery in automation, empowering printing professionals to think differently about their digital workflows and understand the wizardry at play.
Back by popular demand, visitors will leave behind their muggle lives and step into the ‘Mini-Me’ experience, where their likeness will be magically transformed into miniature witches, wizards, warriors or any other enchanted character foamboard standees. The mystery will unfold at the Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems Booth 2200 where they will have their photo taken. Then, with a wave of the Enfocus PitStop and Switch automation wands, the photo files will be prepped by Viesus image enhancement software with the support of Enfocus Griffin, an automated nesting powerhouse. Once a batch of 40 images is built, they will all be sent over to the Digitech Booth J2492/J2592 for printing. From there, the Mini-Mes are taken back to the Kongsberg booth for final cutouts. After just a few more minutes, visitors will be holding their charming mini-me and can proudly display it anywhere they like.
The Mini-Me experience demonstrates the power of Switch – an affordable, flexible automation platform from Enfocus. Using a combination of the PDF preflight and editing engine, Pitstop, which takes just one second to create a cut file and the first part of the cardboard base and the Griffin toolkit to ensure minimal substrate loss, the mini-me is perfectly formed in the Switch platform.
