Following the success of the inaugural FESPA Fabric in 2010, FESPA Fabric 2011 (24-26th May), has opened for a second year in Hamburg, delivering a campus-style ‘event-within-an-event’ concentrating on garment printing and promotional wear.

At 1,228 m² (net), with 54 exhibiting companies, visitors to Hall B1 (accessible on foot across the bridge link from the main FESPA Digital halls) will find world-class exhibits of hardware and materials for screen and digital printing, embroidery, embellishment and garment finishing. The event’s aim is to give visitors access to ideas, products and techniques from Europe’s leading brands, manufacturers and suppliers, with the aim of improving production know-how and business performance.

Visitors will undoubtedly enjoy the Fabric Live! Fashion Show, a show-stopping live feature which caught the attention of visitors during FESPA 2010. Starting at 11:30h each day, shows will take place every hour on the hour until 16.30h. During each session four choreographed models will showcase printed or decorated garments representing the event’s five fashion sponsors; Print Equipment, Blue Max Banner, B&C, Xennia and J-Teck3. The catwalk action will be accompanied by a descriptive overview of the garments, printing methods and decoration techniques employed in the production of each collection.

Also returning to FESPA Fabric 2011 is Charlie’s Corner. Charlie Taublieb, known by many as ‘Doctor Print’, is on hand to give live demonstrations and lead hands-on workshops for printers keen to develop their knowledge of garment screen printing. The world-famous garment printer will offer expert advice, personal insight, practical demos and tips for success, to help printers raise their game and get the most out of their technologies.

FESPA Fabric features a comprehensive educational programme in Fresener’s Fabric Theatre. Compiled specifically for the benefit of garment decorators and textile printers, the three-day, 18-session programme has been designed to guide visitors through the very latest technology developments. Scott Fresener, SGIA Parmele Award winner and owner of T-Biz International, will be joined by a host of key spokespeople to deliver the latest industry intelligence and demonstrate how this information can be applied to foster business growth.
