Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT) has announced that Printoberfest, the October Festival of Signs, Display and Graphics Applications, has been a great success. Customers from all parts of the country came to GPT’s showroom in Reading to see the very latest large format equipment from HP, Mimaki, Vivid, Esko and more.
Shaun Thompson, general manager of GPT, said, “Our customers seemed to really appreciate this format of event. Several of them said that it was a pleasure to have the time and space to see lots of different solutions and be able to discuss at length their specific application and product needs.”
As well as printers, laminators and cutting solutions from leading manufacturers, Printoberfest also had a RIP workshop session and a live vehicle wrapping demonstration by Paul White of Adsign.
GPT is the only UK dealer to have the new HP Scitex FB550 in its showroom and is also the only one available to view anywhere south of Birmingham. As a result, it generated a lot of interest and GPT is pleased to announce at least two sales from the event. GPT also sold a number of solvent and latex machines at Printoberfest.
Thompson adds, “We were able to provide several exclusive offers to visitors of Printoberfest. Some of these offers run through until the end of the year, so we still encourage anyone who couldn’t attend this week to call us to discuss them further.”
He concludes, “Overall, GPT and its suppliers were very pleased with Printoberfest and what it has achieved. We have seen more than 40 people attend the event and have a first-hand view of what we offer. Many of these will be making additional investment in equipment, particularly in line with the excellent offers we are able to deliver. We will certainly be running Printoberfest again next year – and may even consider a Springfest event!”
