Graphic Printing Technologies had its best year yet at Sign and Digital UK 2011. The company sold printers and peripherals from right across its broad range, including five Mimaki UJF 3042s, several Mimaki CJVs and JV33s and even an Agfa Anapurna MW. GPT also successfully received orders for a Zund large format electronic cutting system as well as several orders for its latest acquisition, the Zapkut portable circular saw system.

As well as orders taken at the show, GPT has since closed several more deals as a result of conversations started at Sign and Digital. These include a Mimaki JFX and an Epson GS6000.

Stuart Cole, General Manager of GPT, says, “This year’s show was much busier than the last few years and was particularly strong for selling off the stand. We are particularly delighted with the success of the UJF 3042. This unique product really struck a chord with many people. It inspires imagination and delivers the capability to create a broad range of exciting finished products. The overall success at Sign UK fills us with confidence of a more positive future for the market.”

The Mimaki UJF-3042 is a versatile compact printer offering exceptionally good value for money. Its cost-effective features include very low energy consumption through the implementation of LED UV curing as well as its ability to print to a vast choice of uncoated media. It is ideal for badges, cards, packaging, labels, stickers and display products, as well as personalised imprinting of novelties, nameplates, electronics cases and other industrial products.

“It was a great week,” says Shaun Thompson, Sales Director of GPT. “As well as the sales, we had some excellent conversations which we have converted into sales since the show. I believe visitors were really impressed with the sheer breadth of our product range and the close relationships we have with suppliers, which allows us to be even more flexible, reliable and cost-effective.”
