HP will offer an exciting and informative programme focusing on performance-enhancing wide format digital inkjet printing technology at the Esri European User Conference (EUC), October 26th - 28th, North Convention Centre, IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, Spain.
HP will demonstrate how its feature-rich HP Designjet printing technology revolutionises the way GIS, AEC, and MCAD professionals manage their design workflow thanks to faster setup times, minimised manual operations and increased processing speeds.
A platinum sponsor of the Esri EUC, HP will also host a guest speaker presentation and will invite GIS visitors to bring their own map files and experience the impressive speed and output capability by printing directly to an HP wide format device.
Among HP's product line-up will be the HP Designjet T2300 eMultifunction (eMFP) Printer. As the world's first Web-connected printing system with MFP benefits, the T2300 facilitates the way GIS professionals operate by matching today's collaborative and mobile work styles.
The T2300 enables to easy, one-click scanning of maps, sketches and hand-annotated drawings, which can then be shared with design teams via scanning directly to a USB drive, or uploading to the web from the printer's colour touch screen using HP ePrint & Share. This Web printing solution lets users automatically create, print, share, and manage online content, from anywhere and with a single interface.
Also part of HP's product portfolio on show in Madrid will be:
- The HP Designjet T790 Printer - a scalable 111.8cm (44in) print solution, ideal for small GIS teams. The printer offers quick set up, including the ability to print without opening any applications, high speeds, (up to two A1-sized prints per minute) fast sharing, and upgrade options that let users scale the printer as needs evolve.
- The HP Designjet T1300 PostScript® ePrinter is geared to suit the needs of medium CAD-GIS groups and offers up to 111.8cm (44in) wide printing for up to two A1 prints per minute. The intuitive and Web-connected T1300 also offers two-roll configuration with smart switching capability to deliver higher productivity to users.
- The HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer runs HP Vivid Photo Inks and enables fast production of maps, landscapes and aerial photography. At 140m²/h (1500ft2/hr), the printer offers the highest speeds of large format printers in its price class.
The silver lining in the cloud
Mirroring the increasing move towards cloud-printing and the technologies that enable this, HP will host a guest speaker and HP Designjet T2300/ePrint&Share user, Kenneth Hamlet. Kenneth will explain how the innovative capabilities afforded by HP ePrint&Share can revolutionise working practices for GIS users, drawing on his own experiences of managing public water projects for the city council in Houston, Texas, USA.
