Hybrid Services marshals Mimaki armada for The Print Show

Hybrid Services, Mimaki’s exclusive UK and Ireland distributor, has signed up to exhibit at The Print Show 2017 along with a raft of its resellers.

Organisers have also revealed that 85 percent of floorspace for this year’s event has now been sold with four months still to run—with back-up plans now in place to increase its overall size due to demand.

In addition to Hybrid Services, PPD, RA Smart, and Your Print Services have also confirmed as exhibitors, and each will showcase different segments of Mimaki’s broad inkjet printing technology portfolio. Two other key reseller of Mimaki technology are also due to announce their presence in the show in coming weeks, which will take Mimaki’s floorspace to well in excess of 160sq m.

John de la Roche, national sales manager at Hybrid Services, said: “In previous years, The Print Show has delivered a platform to speak with industry professionals from a surprisingly broad background so we’re looking forward to being able to discuss an even wider range of Mimaki technologies with visitors this year.

“For 2017, we’re keen to show how Mimaki’s product range continues to expand, so increasing our presence gives us a great opportunity, alongside our resellers, to meet with more visitors and present the very latest kit.”

Although de la Roche said Hybrid Services is still in the process of finalising its plans for the event, he did confirm that the company and its partners will show off a number of technologies from Mimaki.

“Hybrid and its reseller partners will be presenting Mimaki’s latest solvent, LED UV and textile printing and cutting systems at a range of sizes and price points as well as inspiring visitors with a host of revenue-generating applications for their print businesses to consider,” de la Roche said.

“Bringing wide-format inkjet into an existing printing business is an ideal opportunity to diversify and deliver solid revenue from day one—our team of experts will be on hand to guide you.

“Thanks to the breadth of capability that Mimaki’s product range offers, we’re looking forward to talking with an equally broad array of visitors. We’re confident that between our stand and those of our resellers, we’ll be able to propose an unparalleled range of digital printing solutions.”

PPD will be one of several partners companies that will work alongside Hybrid Services at The Print Show this year. Mike Ashforth, managing director of PPD, said the firm is hoping to speak with visitors looking to begin or enhance their on-demand equipment portfolio.

Ashforth said: “As an expanding business, we are now looking to move in to a wider geographic area as well as broadening the range of digital printing equipment we offer to the commercial print and print for pay market.

“As a specialist service provider of digital print technologies to the print production industry, we appeal to everyone looking to begin or enhance their on-demand equipment portfolio from cut sheet presses to roll fed and flat bed ink-jet systems.”

RA Smart will also be on hand to show off Mimaki kit to visitors, including the Mimaki TX300P-1800. Alex Mighall, who oversees customer liaison at the company, said the show represents a “great opportunity” for R A Smart to reach out to the market and demonstrate how it can help businesses expand.

Mighall said: “As one of the industry leaders in the supply of wide format printers and finishing equipment it only seems right that we exhibit at The Print Show. With around 6,000 attendees, it’s a great opportunity for us to show both existing and new clients what R A Smart have to offer and why we would be a excellent choice as a supplier for them.

“The TX300P has already proven to be an extremely popular choice for our customers and we have installed multiple systems in the UK since its launch in September last year. Now, with new options such as dual ink technology the machine opens itself up for even more possibilities and The Print Show will be an excellent opportunity for us to show this off.”

Meanwhile, returning for a second consecutive year is Your Print Specialists, which enjoyed a successful event in 2016 after the Mimaki JFX200 sold well from its stand. Georgia Brown, operations manager at the company, is confident of achieving similar results this year.

Brown said: “In 2016, we were impressed with the high footfall level as well as the quality and variance of customers attending. Any show we exhibit at is classed as high importance with The Print Show being no exception.

“It is a chance for us to develop, and build relationships with both new and existing customers, as well as showcase our new products along with being able to educate potential customers on new exciting applications and introducing them to new revenue streams.

“Applications will be a primary focus for us this year at The Print Show. We will be showcasing Mimaki hardware only but presenting a wide selection of applications across all three disciplines focusing on the ‘Think it, Print it, Profit’ theme. “
