From storytelling for interiors to highest-quality car wrapping: sign makers, printers, designers and the like can explore new lines of business at viscom 2019 and discover numerous highlights. These include a live sign making workshop, a Fanshop and an Interior Design Day, to name but a few.
They will make a visit to the trade show an informative and interactive experience. For the first time, Europe’s Trade Show for Visual Communication will kick off the new business year right at the beginning of the year from 8 to 10 January. And for the first time, it will be held in parallel with PSI, the International Trade Show for the Promotional Products Industry, and the new PromoTex Expo, the new Trade Show for Promotion, Sports and Workwear. This means the three independent events will make up one of Europe’s biggest trade show alliances for marketers and advertising professionals.
viscom Live Sign Making Workshop – the gateway to the trade show
Various special areas invite visitors to try out and join in. A highlight: the viscom Live Sign Making Workshop. Here visitors can have their own designs applied to various substrates using a variety of techniques, can fabricate their own tenter and/or luminous frame or learn sign making from a professional. The Workshop is located right at the entrance to Hall 14 and therefore doubles as a gateway to the trade show. Located next to it is the viscom Fanshop, which presents the exhibits from the Workshop, some of which are sold for a cause, inside the shop and shop window.
Four routes provide an overview of the trade show
The ideal way to explore the highlights is the themed route “Go for It”. This not only guides visitors to special and activity areas but also presents digital cutting techniques and insights into how textiles are embroidered, how T-shirt designs are created, or how motifs can be designed for a variety of products. Contact points here include such exhibitors as Karl Gröner, Yellotools, Promic, Complott and HP as well as Zünd, Trotec, Melco or Forever.
Four in total, these routes point the way to the most important “destinations” at the trade shows. The maps for all routes can be found at all entrances. Participation is free and can be offered in a flexible manner.
Textile printing and interior design: discover new fields of business
Expand your own knowledge about textile printing and interior design while discovering new business opportunities: this is also possible at viscom following the “Discover your Opportunities” tour. PullPIX, SwissQPrint, Zünd Systemtechnik, Epson and PrintConcept will show you how. At the exhibition stands they will explain how sublimation can be used for producing a multitude of interior design products, how materials can be efficiently sized with high-precision cutters for interior design, and how interior design can be made more sustainable. The “Discover your Opportunities” route guides visitors to the corresponding exhibitors, lectures and special areas.
Nations Wrap Cup by MR Clipart
Watch top car wrappers demonstrate their craft close up: the Nations Wrap Cup organised by MR Clipart promises an exciting competition that will become even more international and increasingly focus on female participation. 16 teams will compete with each other in the Nations Wrap Cup, and they have to include at least one female car wrapper. All teams will work on a complete car each for the entire duration of the trade show. The tasks will cover the complete craft: from wrapping to window tinting. The competition sponsored by GEWA German Wrapping Association has offered awards for all teams with prize money of over Euro 100,000.
Stars for the POS
Those keen on seeing the best and most creative POS ideas should make sure not to miss the submissions for the Display SUPERSTAR Award. For the eighth time now, the exhibitors will bear witness to their creativity when it comes to displays and POS solutions. The “Night of the Stars” ceremony, where the winners will be announced in a total of 17 categories, will take place on 9 January.
One visit – three trade shows
viscom visitors can immerse themselves in new advertising worlds when they visit the two concurrently held trade shows PSI and PromoTex Expo. The latter will be making its debut and covering the complete cosmos of textile advertising revolving around Promotion, Sports and Workwear in Hall 13. A Textile Campus, a Catwalk and the joint Forum 13 with lectures and expert talks on the themes of both trade shows invite visitors to learn more about textile advertising opportunities. A visit to the PromoTex Expo is included in viscom admission.
The full range of promotional products spans four exhibition halls. At PSI, exclusive promotional product innovations and trends hot off the press can be discovered. The Leading International Trade Show of the Promotion Product Industry is a closed event for members only and can also be attended by viscom and PromoTex Expo visitors following a verification of their credentials. They are required to act as re-sellers in the promotional product industry. As industrial customers, they will only have access to PSI by invitation from a PSI distributor on 10 January 2019.
Instructions as to how the two parallel events can be explored best come care of the two routes “Boost your Knowledge” and “Get Inspired”.
Networking at the visprom night
And the programme also carries on after trade show opening hours. On 9 January, the exhibitors and visitors of PromoTex Expo and viscom will have the opportunity to wind down from their day at the show with colleagues, business associates and customers at the visprom night at Düsseldorf’s “Schlösser Quartier Bohème” in the Old Town. Atmospheric music as well as food and beverages invite you to network. Tickets are available at € 55.00 from the online Ticketshop.
