Mimaki has announced that its new UJV500-160 UV printer will be making its European debut at FESPA 2013 on stand J5S. The UJV500-160 features energy-saving LED curing with long-lasting LED bulbs, and brand-new inks.

When these inks are applied onto 3M media and installed using 3M guidelines, they carry the prestigious 3M™ MCS™ Warranty, widely recognised as the industry’s most comprehensive finished graphics warranty. It covers fading, cracking, peeling and other aspects of graphic performance. In addition to its fast throughput, cost-effective and environmentally friendly LED curing and 3M warranted inks, the UJV500-160 delivers a printed product that is dry and immediately ready for the next step in the process. LUS-200 inks are flexible and are ideal for applications with curved surfaces such as vehicle wraps and fleet graphics where stretching could crack other inks.

Our RasterLink6 RIP already supports the deposition of three layers of ink in one pass, including a base layer of white ink, to allow faithful reproduction of the natural beauty of colours printed on transparent media for applications like window graphics and backlit signage.”
About the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty
3M warrants that printed graphics which are made using 3M branded components and are installed in accordance with 3M’s instructions, will maintain satisfactory performance for a certain time period depending on the application. Graphics manufacturers in Europe that use the LUS-200 ink may be eligible for the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty certification program; details are available from 3M in each local country.
