Screen’s Widescreen 2010 Premiere – 30th November to 2nd December

Screen has announced the Widescreen 2010 Premiere, an event that brings together the stars of the wide format world in its headquarters in Milton Keynes on 30 November to 2 December 2010. As well as the latest wide format printers from Screen, the Widescreen 2010 Premiere will star equipment from EskoArtwork and ancillaries from the world of specialist high-quality graphics such as lenticular and 3D.
The wide format industry’s experts have gathered together to demonstrate the powerful capabilities of high-value applications. From design through to the finished product, visitors will be shown how to cost, manage and produce creative 2D and 3D products and displays using the latest Madico film and Dufaylite materials.
The focus is on profiting from productivity and innovative value-added special effects for original and powerful products are brought to life by these technologically advanced machines, systems and substrates.
The event is free and open, but places are limited and early registration is recommended. Visitors will see Screen’s hybrid Truepress Jet2500UV versatile high-speed, high quality wide format digital inkjet printing system in action, with its new 5 and 7 layer printing. Alongside there is the Truepress Jet1600UV-F, Screen’s exceptionally precise, wide format digital inkjet system which is particularly well suited to lenticular printing, and now features a roll printing option.
Available at the Widescreen 2010 Premiere will be the new Kongsberg XP24 cutting table from EskoArtwork, which can cut at an incredible 100m per minute. A true production dieless finishing machine for POS, it is the first to be designed to operate in a hands-free, non-stop environment for work that needs a fast and highly-reliable solution for profitable short-run production. It can be seen in action producing complex designs. EskoArtwork will also have a full suite of workflow tools designed to streamline production.
To bring further productivity Time Harvest will show its cutting edge MIS solution built for digital which allows users to seamlessly share information across multiple platforms such as those found in the display graphics sector. It works equally well by area as well as by sheet.
There is an innovative range of exciting materials on show at the Widescreen 2010 Premiere. ContraVision shows how to produce impressive one-way, see-through window advertisements, signs or decorative designs on transparent plastic films and rigid sheets. In a world first, these see-through graphics will be produced on the Truepress Jet2500UV as a roll machine, utilizing the new five-layer single pass printing, which is a real breakthrough for this type of production.
DP Lenticular demonstrates the spectacular way that lenticular posters and displays produced on digital printers make images and messages come to life. Dufaylite shows the flexibility of the eco Ultra board range of lightweight paper honeycomb boards to print and fabricate POS, signage, creative 3D displays and a wide range of 3D used for various applications in the print and display market. Finally, Madico Graphic Films displays the stunning effects that can be achieved with a wide range of one-way, view-control and high-impact window graphic films.
