Spandex announces Open House days for signmakers and digital printers

Spandex will be hosting Open House events at its premises in Bristol on November 17th and 18th 2011.

“Feedback following previous Spandex Open House events tells us that customers value the extensive learning opportunities and the friendly atmosphere, so this year our event will be even better”, says Phil McMullin, Spandex UK Country Manager. “We’re planning on adding more value for those who take the time to visit us, through conferences, practical expert advice, hardware and materials demonstrations and other activities. Visitors will gain the knowledge they need to help them reach their business goals in this ongoing challenging economic climate.”

All visitors will receive a gift and the chance to win an Epson 9700 aqueous printer worth £3000 and delegates are encouraged to pre-register well in advance via www.spandex.co.uk/openhouse or by calling 0800 77 26 33.

Conferences

A highlight of the event will be two conferences delivered by Print Business Growth Coach, Nick Devine. The first will reveal the strategies Profit Leaders use to remain predictably profitable, even during this recession. The second conference will give insights into how successful business owners manage their time to achieve their business goals even when they are short on resources.

Workshops

A range of workshops will equip visitors with practical tools to help them identify new business applications and develop their range of services. Hands-on workshops include Vehicle Wrapping, Banner Finishing and Textile Display Solutions, Modular Sign Systems, Textile Marking and Edge Media Applications.

Suppliers Exhibition

Spandex offers the industry’s widest range of media brands and the event will give delegates the chance to consult the expertise of material suppliers including Avery®, Mactac®, 3M™ and Spandex’s own brand ImagePerfect™. Other suppliers include Kunstdünger, American Biltrite, Welwyn, etc.

Hardware Demonstrations

Throughout the day, visitors will experience live hands-on demonstrations of an extensive range of printing technologies including the latest UV flatbed printers from Durst and SwissQprint, plus wide format printers from Epson and Mutoh. In addition, Spandex will show its broad range of print finishing equipment from Summa, Keencut and Vivid Laminators. The Gerber Edge FX thermal printer will be demonstrating a range of revenue-generating applications that cannot be easily reproduced with current inkjet technology. Visitors will also benefit from exclusive promotional offers.

Textile & Soft Signage Application

Visitors will learn how to make the most of their existing inkjet printer by using innovative textile materials combined with stylish display solutions. Spandex will show different ways of mounting textile prints with a variety of sign and display systems, providing visitors with ideas on how to deliver complete solutions.
