Guandong will officially enter the self-adhesive vinyl segment with the global launch of Edo Film. The move marks a natural evolution of the company’s positioning as the “Specialist of Specialties”, now applied to a new product category.
Edo Film has been developed as a premium range of 12 products designed for high-value applications, combining consistent print performance with ease of use. Its key feature is exceptional opacity – reflected in the “opacante” concept – delivering full coverage and reliable colour output on any surface, even over existing graphics. The range includes both monomeric and polymeric vinyls, available in gloss and matt finishes, all equipped with bubble-free technology to ensure smooth, hassle-free application. At FESPA, Edo Film will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition space designed to highlight its superior performance.
The Guandong booth will become a true testing environment, where visitors can directly experience material quality and explore a wide range of applications. “Edo Film is the result of a focused R&D process aimed at developing a high-performance vinyl range capable of delivering outstanding performance and maximum application reliability,” says Fabio Elmi, R&D Director at Guandong. “With a single solution, customers can cover both monomeric and polymeric applications, optimising stock management without compromising on quality. As always, our approach combines product expertise, service and strong stock availability. These elements have always defined our relationship with the market.”
Alongside Edo Film, Guandong will showcase its broader portfolio of solutions, including established best sellers and new products designed for specialist applications. Highlights include the One Way Vision range for glass decoration. This allows transparent surfaces to become visually engaging elements that combine aesthetics and functionality, opening up new possibilities across interior design, retail and architectural environments.
The company will also spotlight its Super Wide Format offering, with materials available in 3.2 and 5-metre widths for immediate delivery. A newly developed sample kit will give visitors a practical overview of the range, supporting professionals in evaluating applications and performance. This offer extends Guandong’s tailor-made approach to the extra-large print segment, combining innovation with just-in-time service.
Guandong puts key products centre stage
Among the company’s key products, Mairon – the magnetic compound launched in 2025 – continues to gain strong market traction. Produced through an optimised industrial process, it delivers high performance and ease of handling at a competitive price point. It is particularly suited for retail, promotional and decorative applications requiring frequent updates and quick installation, without compromising professional visual impact. Also featured is Mr Magnus, a mono-resin synthetic sheet in A3 plus format, designed to balance technical performance with improved sustainability by simplifying disposal and recycling processes.
FESPA remains a key platform for Guandong to engage with the international market and introduce new developments to a European audience. “Since Guandong was founded, we have always exhibited at FESPA, which is our preferred international stage for launching innovations,” says Fabio Annoni, COO of Guandong. “This year, Edo Film will also be supported by a strong visual concept: our team will wear a branded Panama hat, referencing founder Edoardo Elmi. His hat has long been a recognisable signature within the industry and now becomes a visual code for the new Edo Film brand, which will play a central role in our development strategy for 2026.”
