Making its début at Sign & Digital UK this year is leading wide-format specialist CMYUK, set to demonstrate a comprehensive series of wide-format printers from the growing range of options from EFI and Mimaki. This decision to exhibit at the UK’s leading display and sign-making event dovetails with the recent opening of the expanding company’s new state-of-the-art showroom and demonstration facility in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
CMYUK’s stand at Sign & Digital UK, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 24 to 26 March, is designed to demonstrate how all budgetary and production requirements can be addressed with a variety of different methods of wide-format production. The latest UV-curable systems from EFI and Mimaki show the marked increase in popularity for LED capabilities and these will be complemented by an example of the latter manufacturer’s high-speed fast drying solvent-based printers, a Vortex single-pass aqueous-based device that uses Memjet Waterfall technology and a high-end flat-bed digital cutting table from Zünd.
Strong emphasis from CMYUK at Sign & Digital UK lies on the latest cost-effective additions to wide-format LED curing technologies with the first UK showing of the EFI H1625 printer which offers true hybrid capabilities in a 1.6m platform and includes the renowned Fiery XF end-to-end productivity software and RIP. This is juxtaposed by Mimaki’s JFX-200 LED UV-curable 2.5 x 1.3m dedicated flat-bed printer that also offers a reliable high quality solution to sign-makers and display producers.
In keeping with Mimaki’s continued growth in the solvent-based segment, CMYUK is bringing the JV300-160 1.6m printer to Sign & Digital UK which, complete with the Rasterlink RIP, produces high quality graphics at fast throughput speeds. For aqueous-based production, the Vortex 4200 1.06m features single-pass Memjet Waterfall ink-jet technology and is the ideal system for high volume graphics and displays. Finally, for all finishing requirements, the Zünd S3 L-1200 CVE12, with its 1.8m width and 2.4m length, provides a fast, robust flat-bed solution for all cutting requirements needed in today’s busy sign and display production situations.
All of these wide-format systems have no hidden costs and are attractively priced to include delivery, installation, a full set of inks and a media starter pack plus full on-site printer and RIP training for the operator. Additionally, tailored training including colour management and finishing is also offered by CMYUK to enhance faultless throughput in all types of production circumstances.
“Our attendance at Sign & Digital UK is certain to encourage visitors to follow through by coming to our new Shrewsbury showroom. With its easy and fast on-line dedicated booking system, companies now have a simple method for reserving a time to road-test the equipment that interests them,” states Robin East, Director of CMYUK. “Our comprehensive demonstration facilities include all the solutions we are showing at the Birmingham event, and much, much more. We are now consolidating our leading market position, strengthened by the fact that we’re representing technologies that reveal future trends and that suit all budgets and throughput needs.”
