Graphco, the exclusive U.S. distributor of SD-Italy’s advanced Augusta hybrid CNC solutions, proudly announces the installation of the SD Augusta F150R Pro Hybrid CNC Routing & Cutting System with Auto Stud Welding (ASW) at Awning Innovations, one of the nation’s top wholesale-only sign manufacturers. This marks Awning Innovations’ second Augusta system at its McCordsville, Indiana, facility, demonstrating its ongoing drive toward growth and operational excellence.
After nearly a year of success with their first system, Awning Innovations doubled down—choosing identical specifications on their second machine, including the award-winning ASW technology. This single new installation replaces a suite of five competitive devices in the shop, immediately boosting workflow capacity by 35% and dramatically accelerating overall production efficiency.
“Adding a second Augusta was a no-brainer,” says Frank Green, President of Awning Innovations. “Our first system was already transforming our production. This new machine lets us retire five older, less efficient, cutting tables, with one Augusta F150 and we’ve added 35% more volume to our production workflow thanks to it.”
High-speed precision across a wide range of media
Designed for unmatched speed and versatility, the F150R has brought remarkable efficiency to Awning Innovation’s shop floor. With cutting speeds of up to 6.56 feet per second, it eliminates production bottlenecks and boosts overall output. Its 15-foot table option accommodates full-length aluminum sheets frequently used at the facility, allowing for the seamless production of larger sign faces with precise results. In addition to aluminum, the system expertly handles a wide variety of materials, including acrylic, cardboard, PVC, polyurethane foam, Alucobond, leather, and wood.

The patented Auto Stud Welding feature transforms the F150R Pro into a fully automated, single-machine solution for both routing and hardware mounting. Using the same file to control both the CNC routing and the positioning of studs, it automates a process that previously required the shop’s two full-time operators. “It’s automated, fast, and accurate. It makes a huge difference in speed and labor savings,” Green adds.
