Utilising the Dimensor S
Fragma Espacios’ relationship with Roland DG began at a trade fair in Madrid. On discovering the Dimensor S, the team immediately saw its potential as a differentiator in the competitive retail sector. Isabel Gomez, Head of Marketing at Fragma Espacios explains, “We realised it could be something truly exclusive, a technology that would allow us to offer clients something they had never seen before.”
The company installed its first Dimensor S in October 2019, launching with enthusiasm. But, like many in the industry, the pandemic forced plans to pause. By 2022, Fragma Espacios reignited its vision to showcase the power of textured printing, positioning it as a distinctive service offering.
The Dimensor S seamlessly integrates with specialised media and structured inks to produce captivating three-dimensional embossing. The process is as ingenious as it is intricate, layers of ink are meticulously laid down, triggering a foaming reaction in the media that results in textures up to 1.5 mm thick.
The technology replaces traditional methods of adding texture and embossing to prints, such as manual carving, screen printing, or embossing forms. It offers a more efficient and cost-effective solution, with faster turnaround times and greater creative flexibility compared to newer technologies like UV layering – making it the perfect fit for Fragma.
Cinema brought to life
Since its adoption, the Dimensor S has added unique value to a variety of brand collaborations. One standout example was the launch of a film, where an entire scene was recreated and the walls were papered using DIMENSE prints.
The matte finish and embossed texture transformed the environment into an immersive, tactile space. “It was an opportunity to work in a creative, short-lived environment, where DIMENSE delivered a truly spectacular result,” Isabel noted.

“As pioneers in this technology, we see DIMENSE as more than a tool – it’s a way to open new doors in the décor sector,” Isabel explains. Whilst there is still an initial barrier due to market unfamiliarity, this challenge is also an opportunity to educate, inspire, and position Fragma Espacios as leaders in this emerging field.
