Kornit Digital’s distributor for Southern Africa, Rexx Screen and Digital Supplies, will be showcasing the Kornit Storm II direct-to-garment printer at the inaugural FESPA Africa event, scheduled to take place between 2nd and 4th July 2014 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The company will be showcasing its portfolio of environmentally-friendly production technology and consumables on stand H1 B1 and will run live demonstrations of the Kornit Storm II, one of Kornit’s highly successful range of direct-to-garment printers that all have the advantages of no pre-treatment, unmatched versatility and toxin-free pigmented ink technology.
Kornit Digital’s Storm II is one of the company’s comprehensive series of direct-to-garment printers which all benefit from its NeoPigment printing process that has transformed digital textile printing. NeoPigment’s versatility means that multiple fabric types can be printed with no pre-treatment required, and its pigmented inks are greener and more efficient than conventional dye-based formulations.
Engineered to bring high-end productivity and performance to users wanting fast throughput and low running costs, Kornit Digital’s dual-pallet Storm II features a non-stop workflow enabling loading while the garment is printing. Its 1.5 litre bulk ink system enhances its continuous use and eight height-adjustable industrial Spectra print-heads simplify printing over zippers, buttons and raised objects. Ready for use in web-to-print environments, it has a print area of 40 x 50cm, the ability to be used on most fabrics, and up to 150 garments can be printed per hour.
The Storm II is complemented by the entry-level Kornit Breeze which is ideal for small to medium-sized companies, and the mid-range Kornit Thunder which offers high productivity and low running costs. Kornit Digital’s highly successful Avalanche series features the DC Pro and the Avalanche 1000, targeted for high-end fashion requirements, with the Avalanche Hexa adding red and green to the palette for accurate colour matching of corporate colours.
“As a long-term sponsor and currently the primary global supporter of all Fespa Fabric events, Kornit Digital is delighted that Rexx Screen and Digital Supplies is exhibiting at the inaugural exhibition in Africa. We see this geographical area as an important, growing market for our full portfolio of direct-to-garment printers and our Allegro 1.8m industrial roll-to-roll system,” states Wilfried Kampe, Managing Director of Kornit Digital Europe. “Kornit Digital’s products all offer NeoPigment technology, biodegradable ink and energy-saving processing, and these criteria match the commitment to greener production that is being encouraged by Rexx Screen and Digital Supplies.”
