At Autodesk University 2026 in Las Vegas, HP unveiled new drawing management capabilities within HP Build Workspace, and new HP SitePrint productivity innovations designed to help architects, construction and design teams work from a single source of truth.
Today’s construction and design professionals face pressure to coordinate across distributed teams and keep projects moving despite fragmented drawing workflows, version control issues, and disconnected office and field operations. HP brings construction drawings into one workspace
HP Build Workspace is the central platform for drawing management and collaboration, enabling project teams to manage drawings from a single source of truth throughout the construction lifecycle.
New capabilities include enhanced version control, drawing comparison, drawing registers, AI-powered automations, and vectorisation, helping teams reduce coordination overhead while ensuring everyone is working from the latest project documentation.
These enhancements directly address one of construction’s most persistent challenges: teams working from outdated or incorrect drawings due to fragmented distribution and version issues. By centralising drawing management within a single connected workspace, HP is helping AEC firms, general contractors, and VDC/BIM teams reduce costly errors and keep every stakeholder aligned on the latest information.
HP SitePrint adds smarter, more autonomous layout
On the construction site, HP is also advancing HP SitePrint with new productivity innovations that span the entire layout workflow. A new cloud-based CAD editor enables teams to refine and prepare layout drawings directly in the browser with advanced editing tools and smart setup capabilities, reducing the manual file preparation traditionally required between design handoff and print-ready output. Additionally, SitePrint’s autonomy has been extended with smart navigation while printing and intelligent recovery capabilities, enabling the robot to adapt to real-world conditions such as debris, obstructions, or minor path deviations and correct its course automatically without requiring operator intervention. Together, these innovations increase precision, efficiency, and productivity throughout the layout process, helping construction teams spend less time preparing drawings and supervising printing while accelerating project delivery.
