UFABRIK has used the new 5.2m Durst P5 500 TEX iSUB to produce seamless 16m FESPA graphics with striking colour and scale.

UFABRIK continues to underscore its strong alignment with the industry’s leading print equipment platforms, this time spotlighting Durst through graphics produced on the new 5.2m wide Durst P5 500 TEX iSUB dye-sublimation printer for its stand at FESPA.

Printed by Manchester-based MediaCo, this includes a showstopping single-piece graphic printed on UFABRIK’s Universal Blackback Textile. Measuring 4m high by 16m long and installed within the beMatrix modular tension frame system, it runs the full length and height of the stand’s back wall, forming an integral part of its structure.

The result is a stunning statement wall that combines solid black with vibrant surges of yellow and red, delivering an exceptional colour punch.

Elsewhere on the stand, the Durst P5 500 was used to output graphics printed on UFABRIK Soft Backlit Textile.

This year, UFABRIK alongside Johns Global and JC Media, will showcase the integrated strength of their manufacturing group. Its stand (B20, Hall 2) was constructed by STANDBUILDER, Spain. “We’ve been really impressed with the quality of this huge single piece graphic,” said Bruno Roquette, director and founder, STANDBUILDER. “We are a high-volume user of UFABRIK materials for all our exhibitions’ work in the UK and Europe, and I have to say, the quality of output on the Durst is exceptional.”

UFABRIK Universal Blackback Textile

UFABRIK Universal Blackback Textile is a high quality 100% knitted polyester textile with a blackout coated reverse. Developed as a premium blackback textile for both direct and transfer dye-sublimation blackback, as well as UV ink, it offers an excellent balance of stretch, softness and stability. Universal Blackback is ideal for expo walls, frame wraps, retail displays, and high-quality event backdrops. It has a bright white print surface, anti-scratch black backing and Flame Protection B1, EN13501-1, and NFPA 701.

UFABRIK Soft Backlit Textile

UFABRIK Soft Backlit Textile is 100% woven polyester textile designed for backlit applications. Its unique weaving process ensures no pinholes and no need for a top coating, while delivering an unrivalled white point and a soft, natural handle. It delivers outstanding image output and is foldable, crease-resistant, and bruise-free. It also offers Flame Protection B1, EN13501-1, and NFPA 701.

Demand grows for seamless super-wide graphics

The move towards seamless grand format graphics is gathering pace as customers look beyond the traditional 3.2m production widths to reduce joins, improve finishing quality, and achieve greater premium impact.

Monika Mourao, European Sales Director, UFABRIK said, “Our results with Durst are absolutely stunning – colours that pop, rich blacks, opacity, and scale. The Durst P5 500 TEX iSUB has enabled us to deliver a 4m x 16m graphic as a single, seamless piece, and it has demonstrated what is possible when advanced grand-format dye-sublimation technology is matched with the correct performance textile.”

The combination of UFABRIK materials and Durst dye-sublimation technology gives visitors a clear understanding of the different aesthetic qualities associated with digital textile printing. UV printing for example, is a popular and established production route for many applications, while dye-sublimation offers greater softness, depth of colour, and a refined, contemporary finish.

UFABRIK welcomes customers, distributors, and print service providers (PSPs) to visit its stand to experience the full complement of UFABRIK’s textile portfolio, designed for use across major printer brands including EFI, Durst, Mimaki, HP, Agfa, SwissQprint, and more.

The FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 takes place at the Fira, Barcelona from 19-22 May.
