UFABRIK has appointed Sesoma as its new distributor in Finland, expanding access to polyester textiles for soft signage and display.

UFABRIK continues with the expansion of its European network with the appointment of Sesoma as its new distributor in Finland, strengthening its presence in a territory where soft signage and polyester-based print applications are already well established.

Based in Vantaa, close to Helsinki Airport, Sesoma has been servicing the Finnish market for over 40 years, supplying production equipment and materials to customers in the signage, digital printing, and vehicle wrapping industries.

This partnership has grown organically from UFABRIK’s existing relationship with the Sesoma sister companies in the Baltics. This early positive experience helped highlight the potential for a wider partnership with Finland, becoming a natural next step.

UFABRIK textiles expand Sesoma print solutions

The appointment provides Sesoma Finland with its own polyester textile offering for the first time, enabling it to support customers with a more complete solution.

“Although direct and transfer printing on polyester are both widely used by Sesoma customers, polyester fabrics had not previously formed part of our own range,” said Sami Lempinen, Sesoma Finland’s MD. “By bringing in the full UFABRIK portfolio, we can now supply materials that customers would have sourced from elsewhere. It also creates new opportunities for us to increase our sales, for example, when we sell a dye sublimation printer, a direct-to-fabric printer, or an Expolinc Light Frame, we can now also offer UFABRIK textiles.”

Commenting on the agreement, Monika Mourao, UFABRIK’s European Sales Director, said, “Sesoma has an established position in the market with strong customer reach and the right infrastructure to fully support the UFABRIK portfolio. It’s exactly the kind of partnership we want to build as we continue to grow our European market share.”

UFABRIK advantage

While UFABRIK textiles are new to the Finnish market, feedback from within the wider group has already been positive, with consistent quality, competitive pricing, and good colour reproduction being cited as particular brand strengths.

The fit with the Finnish market is a strong one. “Soft signage has been of interest to our customers for a long time. We sold the first large format printer equipped with sublimation inks in 2002, and since then has been steadily replacing traditional materials used in retail, events and exhibitions,” said Sami.

For Finnish customers too, environmental responsibility is important.  UFABRIK is recyclable and PVC-free.  It is lighter and easier to transport, easier to install, and highly versatile.

Sesoma Infrastructure

Sesoma has the operational strength needed to support the UFABRIK range effectively. The company has experienced logistics staff, a large warehouse and an established transport network, enabling next day delivery anywhere in Finland. Customers can also view stock availability directly through Sesoma’s online store, while customer visits, material samples, and demo events provide further technical and commercial support.

The partnership aligns with Sesoma’s wider business direction, particularly its aim to expand its range of PVC-free solutions. Sami concluded, “By adding UFABRIK’s innovative and sustainable materials to our portfolio, our customers can now expect better performance, a wider range of eco-friendly and sustainable textile options, and better availability to support project schedules. We are confident that this collaboration will increase the value we bring to our customers’ businesses.”
