On 13th September specialist distributor ArtSystems will be partnering with its parent company, Westcoast, to host “Introduction to Industry 4.0”, an exclusive business development event for its resellers and channel members.
Nottingham-based ArtSystems has a deeply rooted philosophy of customer service and support that underpins its success. Introduction to Industry 4.0 reflects that philosophy.
ArtSystems’ Ted Freer, Divisional Manager – Design, explained: “We can see how business trends are increasingly moving design and manufacturing closer to an ‘on-demand’ production model. This will bring many benefits across every aspect of product development, production and distribution, with cost and time-to-market savings at every stage, but there are challenges that need to be met. Introduction to Industry 4.0 is a feature-packed event designed to help prepare resellers meet the challenges raised in supporting their customers when they start moving in this direction, if they haven’t already done so.”
He continued: “People are talking about how business has entered the fourth industrial revolution, which includes not only the latest innovations but also emerging technological developments in ‘smart’ design and manufacture. End users want bespoke products delivered fast, and our resellers’ customers need to profit from those needs. Introduction to Industry 4.0 will take resellers through current applications and outline what’s on the way. It will also explain how quickly customers can expect to earn a return on their investment – and how that investment will help future proof their businesses.”
A special feature of the day will be a focus on the latest developments in 3D Design – including prototyping and testing – linking MakerBot and Stratasys 3D printers with HP 3D scanners to demonstrate digital workflow for both 3D data capture and iterative design model printing
Ted Freer concluded: “Introduction to Industry 4.0 is about helping people get their businesses fit for the future, and we expect a great attendance on the day. It will be an exciting and lively event and everyone will take a lot from it, especially the novel opportunities now provided by 3D design and printing. At ArtSystems we say ‘discover a fresh new world of possibilities’.”
