VION High Tack calendered digital print films from William Smith, part of the William Smith Group 1832, have successfully been certified as meeting the requirements of Class B, s1, d0 as specified in BS EN 13501-1:2018.
This fire certification will help to reassure customers that both these popular monomeric (VP3900-12 HT) and polymeric (VP5900-02 HT) films can be used for many different types of internal and external applications, particularly where such certifications are critical for use.
The VION High Tack range feature an impressive high grab adhesive, ideal for low energy surfaces such as polypropylene, polyethylene and emulsion painted walls.
Plus, with a high-quality white face film, offering excellent printability and ease of use, this makes these high tack films a simple choice for many short to medium term uses.
Now, with the addition of the fire safety certification, customers will have peace of mind that VION VP3900-12 HT and VP5900-02 HT meet the required specification.
The VP3000 and VP5000 Series have proven popular among UK sign and graphics companies, due to the film’s solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesive and a high quality 140gsm and 145gsm, respectively, double-sided PE coated liner, that gives excellent stability during printing and handling.
Ideal for flat and slightly curved surfaces, the films are suitable for Solvent, Eco-Solvent UV and Latex print systems.
Head of Marketing at William Smith, which is part of William Smith Group 1832, Chris Bradley said: “With customer safety paramount we are extremely pleased to be able to offer fire safety certification for these popular products.”
Both products are available to order from William Smith in sizes 1370mm x 50m and 1520mm x 50m with same day despatch as standard on orders received before 6pm.
