Roland DG, a leading provider of digital printing solutions, today announced the launch of its new S-PG3 direct-to-film (DTF) ink for the TY-300i, delivering improved cost efficiency, production stability and print performance for apparel decoration businesses.
Developed in response to growing demand for faster, more cost-effective DTF production, S-PG3 has been designed to help businesses increase profitability without compromising on quality. When paired with the TY-300i printer, the new ink enables users to reduce running costs, improve workflow efficiency and consistently produce vibrant, durable graphics across a wide variety of apparel applications.
As DTF continues to become the preferred production method for custom apparel, sportswear and workwear, print businesses face increasing pressure to maximise output while controlling operational costs. Stable ink flow for consistent DTF production
The new S-PG3 ink features enhanced ink flow characteristics and improved jetting stability, helping minimise nozzle misfiring and dropouts during long production runs.
Its improved formulation also enables more uniform ink coverage across the film surface, resulting in stronger colour consistency and vibrant print output from the first transfer to the last.
High-volume DTF production for growing businesses
Equipped with dual print heads and an integrated heater, the TY-300i delivers production speeds of up to 10.9 m²/h, enabling apparel businesses to scale production while maintaining consistent quality.
Under typical operating conditions of eight hours per day, twenty days per month and a transfer size of 300 mm x 300 mm, the TY-300i can produce approximately 3,300 T-shirts per month.
The solution also integrates with leading finishing devices, including Graphtec and Summa cutting systems, helping businesses build efficient, high-volume production workflows.
