HP’s recently announced HP Latex R530 has been adopted by three German print service providers (PSPs) to expand their print production capabilities. The HP Latex R530 is a compact, all-in-one printer specifically designed to address the operational demands of small to mid-sized businesses. Since April 2025, the HP Latex R530 has been installed at Munsteiner Werbetechnik GmbH based in Essen, Volker Bosl GmbH from Marwitz near Berlin and system-repro from Cologne. While Munsteiner Werbetechnik and Volker Bosl GmbH invested in an all-in-one printer for the first time, system-repro installed the HP Latex R530 due to its flexibility and ability to print on both rigid and flexible materials.
The HP Latex R530 is an efficient printing solution that optimizes production for small and mid-sized print businesses. It serves as a reliable investment for PSPs seeking to enter or expand into the rigid substrate market. Engineered with a company footprint for application versatility, the HP Latex R530 enables seamless end-to-end operation and user friendly functionality. Its all-in-one design facilitates rapid transitions between flexible and rigid media, enhancing operational efficiency. In addition, the printer offers consistent, high-quality output for various media types such as (adhesive) films as well as acrylic glass, composite panels and wood. Therefore, Munsteiner Werbetechnik, Volker Bosl GmbH and system-repro are now able to meet broader and more specific customers’ requirements.
Beyond its compact design and flexibility, the availability of white ink printing played a significant role in the decision-making process for the three print service providers. White ink enhances color vibrancy, particularly on dark substrates and delivers opacity on materials such as acrylic glass, enabling not only new applications but also faster production overall. The HP Latex R530 also features automatic ink recirculation and printhead cleaning, which collectively reduce maintenance requirements and maximize operational uptime. Additionally, the printer’s single-phase power supply allows for straightforward installation, even in space-constrained environments.
Sustainability as a Strategic Investment
Sustainability and environmental compatibility were decisive factors in the investment of the HP Latex R530 for the three print service providers. The HP Latex R530 and its water-based, odorless inks, which emit no harmful fumes, met critical requirements—particularly for system-repro, whose clients in the hotel industry, trade fair construction, and interior design sectors demand health-safe print products. This consideration was equally important for Munsteiner Werbetechnik, which serves customers in the healthcare sector. The non-toxic nature of HP Latex inks also fulfills essential criteria for public sector contracts. For Volker Bosl GmbH, the environmental benefit lies in waste reduction: the HP Latex R530 eliminates the need for a previously required intermediate film-printing step, thereby significantly reducing material waste.
At Fespa, taking place from May 6 to 9 in Berlin, HP will be showcasing the HP Latex R530 as well as its new HP Latex Series 730 and 830 live for the first time in Europe at its stand A20 in Hall 4.2. The HP Latex 730 and 830 series have been developed with a focus on high print quality. At the same time, they increase the productivity of print service providers and reduce costs for small and mid-sized print service providers. Additionally, HP will have a hands-on area at the booth in which visitors will be able to try the new HP PrintOS Production Hub, the world’s only large-format software that combines order management and remote production control into a centralized, real-time platform—increasing efficiency and reducing operational complexity.
